Comprehensive Prevention Strategy
Programs and community collaborations here at SDSU that exemplify how each of the five elements in the Comprehensive Model for AOD prevention are being implemented include: Individual Focus - Peer Education Programs; ASPIRE Counseling Program; e-CHUG Assessment w/Feedback; e-TOKE marijuana knowledge experience; Counter advertising campaigns; Alcohol Awareness events. Behavioral Alternative - Substance free parties and social events; Athletics, recreational and other facilities. Enforcement & Access - DUI checkpoints and Campus Posting Policy enforcement. Community Action - In collaboration with the San Diego County District Attorney, San Diego County Sheriff's Department, San Diego Police Department, colleges, universities, the military, the Center for Community Solutions / Rape Trauma Center, the Sexual Assault Response Team and SDSU teamed together to form the PRICE Coalition (Preventing Rape by Intoxication through Community Education).
